Using the Kadence Tag block and trying to use the anchor link options. The page will resolve when using an anchor link but always to the initially-opened tab. The tabs have the correct ids on them but my Inspector shows an error:

Failed to execute 'querySelector' on 'Document': '#2014.kt-title-item' is not a valid selector.

…where “2014” is the tab name. I appears to be an issue with kt-tabs.js.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

Thanks for reaching out! Can you tell me what version of Kadence Blocks you’re running? And also which theme you’re using?

    Kindly,

    Hannah

    Thanks, Hannah.

Using Kadence Blocks 2.4.22 with GeneratePress.

Hi, Does generate press have a smooth scroll option enabled? That could be conflicting. If so, try turning it off. Let me know if the error continues.

    Hannah,

Smooth scroll is not in use. We’re only using the basic theme, not premium, and that’s not an option. Thanks.

    Hey,

Could you try temporarily activating another theme, such as Twenty Twenty-Three, to determine if the issue is with your theme or the plugin?

    Thanks,

Tested with Twenty Twenty-One theme and no luck. Tried with an incognito window as well. Sorry.

Hi Hannah. Any other suggestions on the anchor links not working? Thanks.

    Hi!

Apologies for the delay. Try using just “#2014” as the HTML anchor. You’re adding this to the Tab Anchor Settings in the Tabs Block Settings, correct?

    Kindly,

    Hannah,

I assume you mean in the URL, like this? https://nematome.org/haiku-take-2#2014
I have done that; the page loads with the “/” in the URL (https://nematome.org/haiku-take-2/#2014) but otherwise still no success.
And yes, this is set in the Tab Anchor settings.

Hi! Can you send me a screenshot of your tab anchor settings? They should look like this:

    Hi,

I wonder if you’re running a plugin that is conflicting. I suggest you deactivate your plugins one by one to test. Let me know if there’s no change!

    Hannah,

I did some of that in previous troubleshooting but to be on the safe side I went through and deactivated everything this time and still no luck.

I have to conclude that the conflict is with the theme (GeneratePress) which is really unfortunate. Not sure if you’ve heard of a conflict like this before?

At this point, I think we’re going to give up on tabs or look for another solution. Thank you again for your time and patience with this troubleshooting!

    (@hannahritner)

    Hi,

Did you try reaching out to GeneratePress support about this to see if they had any insight? Could at least be worth asking!

Sorry I wasn’t able to help further.

    All the best,

    Hannah
