tag added to menu title attributes

I have a WP Multisite install (version 3.6) in conjunction with an wp e-commerce (version 3.8.12) install on two of the sites. When I install and activate the tinyMCE WPEC module opening and closing <p> tags are injected into my Title Attributes within the Appearance menu editor.
