    Hello Friends,

whenever I activate the Plugin I can’t use the maximize/minipize buttons on the “edit page”. For Example the “customize view” dropdown.

The tabs (SEO,Readability,Sheme and Social) are shown but the options to edit title, etc. are not there. It’s like the tabs are invisible.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi!

Sorry to hear that, which version of yoast SEO are you on?

    Thread Starter semenvitae

    (@semenvitae)

    Newest Version (14.8.1)
Also tried it on different WordPress versions.
Event went into trouble shooting mode with all plugins disabled. As soon as i activate Yoast SEO it’s not working anymore.

Would try to reinstall Yoast SEO, but then I’ll lose all data (meta-descriptions etc.), right?

No you won’t lose data but I doubt that’s it… could you try and check what happens if you switch to the default theme?

It works on twenty nineteen. Thanks.
So my theme Kallas + classic editor must be the problem here.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Okay. Seems like a lot of people have the same problem with the Classic Editor.

Not sure, I think the problem was introduced in WordPress 5.5 but I’m not sure what the problem _is_.

It’s working fine for me after clear cookies. If not then upgrade PHP to the latest version. Hope it works

Tried to clear cookies. Didn’t work either.

Does your browser show any JavaScript errors?

    (@semenvitae)

    No.
Solved it different now. Whenever I want to edit meta descriptions I just swich to a different theme. After that I switch back to Kallyas. A little extra step, but it works for now.

    Thanks everyone for helping!

We’re having the same issue with this latest update. running WP 5.5 Genesis and Restored 316 Darling theme. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

@empiguet Thanks for the link. I tried the plugin update and so far it seems like the Yoast tabs are working again. I’m wondering if this is a permanent fix or a temp fix? Also wondering how the Jquery helper affects Yoast/

Getting same errors on after update https://prntscr.com/u6l69v

The jquery helper doesn’t affect us, it means another plugin you’re running causes errors without it and that blocks our JavaScript from running.
