    Hi,

I try to duplicate product pages to different languages. It is possible to duplicate the product to the different languages, but the tabs are not duplicated.

Hopefully you can help me with this issue.

  • Hey @designique,

I just tested a duplicated product in my environment and when I duplicated it the tabs were present on the new product. What specifically are you doing when you are running into this issue? Are you using the built in WooCommerce duplication or a third party plugin for duplication?

    Cheers,
    Freddie

Thank you for the fast response.

I try to duplicate a product to multiple languages with the WPML translation management.

it works After duplicate and translate it with the Woocommerce Multilingual.
But this will take a lot of time and for now it can be translated all in the same languages.

So I prefer to use the WPML translation management, where it is possible to duplicate multiple products to multiple languages.

Hopefully you know or can detect what the issue would be here.

Okay I think I understand. So, right now you’re doing the following:

    – Create product
    – Add Tabs
    – Duplicate Product In Multiple Languages
    – Manually Translate Each Duplicate Product Tabs

Right now this is the way to handle translations as there are so many different translation plugins it doesn’t make sense for us to build our plugin for 1 specific translation plugin. Our users are using Weglot, WPML, Polylang, Loco Translate and I’m sure many other plugins.

Do you know anything about translation groups for WPML? If you could figure that out I will help you write some code for your theme to make groups to connect the pieces on our end.

You could technically create groups with the Saved Tabs because your saved tabs are all stored in the WordPress options table as a group. In theory you could create translations while creating saved tabs and map those back to your WPML duplicates.

Okay thank you for your reply.

Thank you for thinking along, I will check for the translations groups.
And will come back to you :).

Thanks again for the fast response!
