• Hey guys,

I am having some trouble with adding tabs to my nav bar.

When I add different tabs to the nav bar like ‘Home’, ‘Contact’, ‘Advertise’ etc, instead of showing up horizontally (like this – Home Contact Advertise), they are showing up vertically, like this –
    Home
    Contact
    Advertise

    Any help?

    Thanks,
    Eric

  • I am not that Expert in wordpress but that sounds like a template/theme trouble. What template/theme are you using?

I am having trouble with my nav bar also. Can’t get a search bar into it.

I am using Thematic. Its a fantastic wordpress theme that hasn’t given me any real toruble so far, except for this.

    Anyone? any help?

Ok so i installed Thematic on my local machine and it is working fine out of the box………..

Can you provide the link of your website? so i can take a look at it?

    telugucinematoday.com

Its still very early in the rough draft stages.

    thanks desiupdate!

Your website source shows a stylesheet of some other theme named Codemonkey

    <link rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” href=”h**p://telugucinematoday.com/wp-content/themes/CodeMonkey/style.css” />

As far as i can think… It could be one of your plugins that you have installed. So try to deactivate all the plugins you have and then view your website.

Code monkey is just a variation on thematic. The framework is the same. In fact, the only differences are the header graphic, colors on the page and the width of the contents.

I only have 2 active plugins currently – akismet and vivacarousel. I deactivated them both and it still shows up the same.

If you look in thematic’s style css (which is the same as Code MOneky’s style css – except for some margins and colors), the part dealing with the nav bar display is under ‘menu’. Do you think any changes should be made there?

Thanks again for all your help ??

Ok it seems like you have somehow messed up the coding on your header.php
while you were editing the logo.

Make a backup of your current header.php and replace it with the original header.php and see if that fix your menu.

I am going to get some sleep. I will return to check on this issue after that.

    Hey desiupdate,

I think I may have found the problem but am not sure. I have been going through both header.phps and would like come clarification.

Can we talk through email? Pls let me know

    Thanks

    Fixed it!

the div = menu were listed separately, had to lump them together

    Thanks for ur help desiupdate!
