    Hi Chris,

Thank you for this great pi! I will like discuss the SEO matter with all of you and try to find an applicable solution.

According to Google WordPress Accordion and Tabbed content can negatively affect SEO! Google has publicly stated they are ignoring content that is hidden behind tabs or accordions. Or at least in many cases they consider this content lower in value because it is not presented to the user on page load.

Can this pi offer an alternative way to avoid this gap? Possibly a simple “open and google readable” table with group fields to the left and data tags to the right?

Hope this will be of a value.

  • There are ways to show all tags in a table, see https://www.christoph-amthor.de/software/tag-groups/examples-applications/ .

I will investigate when I have more time if there’s a solution. In general, I don’t think that it will be possible to convince Google that the hidden tags have the same priority as the displayed tags, since Google decided to treat hidden content differently, and it’s simply the nature of tabs that the content of all but one tabs is hidden. On the other hand, I don’t know if displaying all tags would help for SEO – your page would be cluttered with possibly a huge amount of tags, and particularly on mobile screens you won’t see the actual content.
