tables stopped working

    I updated WP and plugins (last update 6-8 weeks ago), then noticed that the table no longer loaded – just shows the flipping square.
    I rolled WP back to 4.6.1 (from 4.7), and created a new table with no effect.
    Could it be some interaction with another plug-in?
    I did not find a way to roll back Data Tables Generator to an earlier version.
