    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

just for everybody following this thread: I worked on this directly with itsasmallpond and we were able to fix the issue by resetting the access capabilities, so that TablePress is now visible in the menu again.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

    Hello!

Set up my first table in TablePress, and I really love it! Alas, my TablePress control disappeared suddenly from the dashboard, although it worked briefly on WP3.9, and my newly created table is still showing up, but I can’t edit it now :-/

I’ve just repaired my roles from a confusion caused by bbPress and s2member, so they’re back to wp default. My new table is here:
    https://www.citizenstogether.com/home/selected-ohio-democratic-party-county-constitutions/

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This could be a permissions issue, but it could also be possible that the TablePress admin menu entry was moved to a location that is no longer accessible.
If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    My TablePress is back!
    Thank you so much Tobias!
I appreciate your help. Is there anything I should do/not do so TablePress doesn’t disappear?
I’d hate to keep bothering you!
I love WP but this new 3.9 has been giving me fits…starting to feel like a guinea pig, LOL.
    Thanks again, and take care.

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

You said that you experimented with Roles in bbPress and s2member, so that might have removed the TablePress capabilities from the roles.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!

Thanks again Tobias! I rated TablePress, but sadly I could only give it 5 stars ??

    Hi Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This process basically removed the access capabilities, so that we’ll have to restore them manually.
For that, please surf to https://example.com/wp-admin/options.php (with your domain, of course), and scroll down to the “tablepress_options” option. In that textfield, you should see a number 24 as the “plugin_options_db_version”. Change that number to 0 (be very careful to not break the surrounding quotation marks etc.), and click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
That should reset the capabilities, so that the admin menu entry should appear again.

    Regards,
    Tobias
