    Hi, Tobias,
thank you for your great plugIn TablePress.

I embedded it via shortcode in Elementor, all works fine, only the backgrould colours for the odd and even rows are the utmost ugly colors.
They are not changing, doesnt matter what I define in the CSS definition field in TablePress.
I deactivated the colour selection in Elementor.
And in the Theme GeneratePressPro there is no such color defined as it is shown in the Table. Only the color settings in GP for forms have influence on the color of the search field in TablePress.

Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanx for help

    Hildur

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Hi,

these ugly colors are all part of some Custom CSS that you are loading via an Elementor custom CSS field. Unfortunately, I don’t know where exactly this field is, but it’s saving the CSS to the file

    Hi Tobias,

thank you very much for this hint. It seems to be a bug in Elementor, if their program ingnores/overwrites the settings, defined in your plugin.

I contacted their support and keep you informed, as soon as the problem is solved.

    Kind regards

    Hi Kerstin,

no, that’s not really a bug. In CSS code, the order of execution is critical, so if this CSS file is loaded after the TablePress files, it “wins”.

And as someone on your site has added this CSS code to some “Custom CSS” field somewhere, it’s not really Elementors fault ?? You will just have to find the relevant field and remove the CSS.

    Hi, Tobias,

thank you! I made a new WordPress Page and copied the ShortCodes for TablePress in the new Page and now it worked fine.

Looks like it is important to FIRST define the settings in TablePress and THEN put in the ShortCodes.

    Kind regards

    Hi Kerstin,

no, that doesn’t really matter ?? It’s probably that the old WordPress page has its own “Custom CSS” field somewhere.
But good to hear that everything is working again ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
