    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Yes, you’ll also need to include the JavaScript code into the page. That however needs to be connected with the DataTables initialization code that TablePress adds to the page. You can for example do this in a custom TablePress Extension. My suggestion would be to take the existing Extensions (from https://tablepress.org/extensions) that use DataTables as examples, to see how the JS code can be integrated.
    This will however require some PHP coding by you.
