    Hi @tobiasbg.

I’m loving Tablepress but all my tables are too wide for mobile. I’ve installed your extension and tried every one of the options flip, collapse etc but on mobile device, the table is showing as too wide.

Please see the above on mobile and see what I mean. It’s increasing the width of the main content box. How do I shrink the table to fit so it doesn’t effect the theme. I know you’ve had this question a lot but if you can provide a fix for this site that would be much appreciated!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

First, I recommend to try unchecking the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen. Then, please try the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

If the table then still extends, you’ll somehow need to modify the theme to not allow that.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi @tobiasbg

Thanks for your reply! I tried your CSS code to shrink the text too but it didn’t seem to do anything. Is there anything else to try? I’m not sure how to modify the theme to not allow it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

are you sure that you installed and actived the TablePress Responsive Tables Extension and then added the Shortcode parameter? It doesn’t look like it…

    Hi @tobiasbg

I deactivated it just because it seems to be causing some css issues (could be totally unrelated). Is there another fix available or CSS to add to the existing plugin that will stop the extension of the content section?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I don’t think it caused CSS issues. Unfortunately, I don’t know another solution that you could try here, sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias
