    Hi Tobias

    I have recently noticed that the headings on my tables are no longer the same as colour scheme as the rest of the table and the column and row lines have disappeared. Just to mention I had a problem with a recent Jetpack update regarding comments conflicting with my themes sidebar settings which has no been resolved. Not sure if Jetpack maybe conflicting with Tablepress or if it is something else?

    I wondered if you might know what the problem is?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Neil,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Could you please post a link to the page with the table, so that I can take a look at this directly?
    Were you using “Custom CSS” code to change the styling?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

    A link to one of the tables can be found at … https://www.peakandfellwalking.co.uk/peaks/peaks-by-category/birketts/

    I do use custom CSS but I have not changed the code for quite a long time. That is why I believe that some other plugin or WordPress is interfering with the table.

    Thank you for your quick response.

    Hi Neil,

    from what I can see, your “Custom CSS” does not contain changes to the background color of the header row. Thus, the current styling of that is a mixture of the TablePress default styling and the theme’s styling.

    So, could you please explain what “interfering” means here? Are you not happy with the colors? Then I suggest to simply change them as shown in the examples in the TablePress FAQ at https://tablepress.org/faq/

    And one more not: The very first big block in your “Custom CSS” (with all the .tablepress-id-123 table selectors) does not do anything at the moment, as .tablepress-id-123 already is the table element. If you want that code to apply, you’ll need to remove all table from the selectors.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias

    I have removed the first big block in my “Custom CSS” (with all the .tablepress-id-123 table selectors) as you advised and if by magic the table has reverted back to how it was (albeit that the styling is a mix of TablePress and my theme).

    For now I will leave it like that. Maybe I will change the header colours at a later date.

    Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi Neil,

    ah, very nice! ?? Good to hear that this helped! No need to change the colors then anymore ??

    Just two more small things:
    There seems to be a block of CSS remaining at the beginning:

    {
    	margin-left: }

    Please remove that as well.

    Then, please also remove the line

    height: autoauto1px solid greycollapse14px100%20px;

    and change the line

    padding: 3px 5px; /* top and bottom: 3px, left and right 5px;*/

    to

    padding: 3px 20px 3px 5px;

    to fix the sorting arrows.

    Regards,
    Tobias
