Table Press Hangs

    I am having issues as in, I uploaded a new table but when I selected save, Table Press just hangs. I can not even log out of my site. This happens in Opera, Fire Fox, Edge and the old IE.
    The tables I am working with have a lot of data lines.
    I have a smaller table that works just fine.

    (another user reported this issue 1 year ago and was told edit page will be updated to resolve the issue)

    Update.
    Webhost said this raised over 500 error messages.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Editing tables with many rows is indeed still a problem in TablePress right now. My recommendation is to work with imported files for this, i.e. don’t edit large tables directly in TablePress.
    That mentioned update of the “Edit” screen will be coming in TablePress 2.0 this summer!

    Not sure what you mean your recommendation work with imported file – where would I do this please?

    Hi,

    with the imported file: What I mean is to edit/maintain the table offline, e.g. in Excel. Then, whenever you made changes, save the table to a CSV file in Excel, and import that CSV file into TablePress, choosing to replace the existing version.

    That way, you won’t really need the “Edit” screen – until it will be faster and usable again in TablePress 2.0.

    Yes I make alterations on my PC and upload to TablePress.

    I was trying to make changes to the title and description.

    Hi,

    then, I recommend to temporarily upload/import a small “dummy” table (CSV file), then make those changes, and then re-import the original table data CSV file.
