• I’ve added the TOC+ to my sidebar on my pages and while it does create the table of contents links, every time I try to click one of the links, it will not jump to any of the headings. I checked the code and noticed that there is no anchor links at the headings. Do the anchor links need to be manually generated or is the plugin supposed to handle that? If it’s the latter, are there any suggestions as to why it is not working?

    Thanks!

Okay, it seems another plugin, WordPress FAQ Manager (when the jQuery features are enabled) is interfering with the Table of Contents Plus plugin preventing the links from being created.

    Suggestions?

Works as expected for me after enabling ‘question’ from the auto insert list in Settings > TOC+. Both the widget and the in-content TOC worked and scrolled to the right position. I used the 1.331 version of FAQ manager and had enabled both jQuery options I saw:

    * Include jQuery collapse / expand
    * Include jQuery scrolling for Combo shortcode

    Thank you for responding.

Tried enabling ‘question’ and that did not change anything. Also using the latest version of Table of Contents Plus and FAQ Manager.

Not sure what else it could be.

Not sure… I tested using normal pages, posts, and created a FAQ entry with many headings and they all worked ok. Do you have a link?

I checked the link and can see what you mean. I’ve tested by using the Genesis theme but can’t replicate your problem. Both TOCs (widget and inline content) work.

Are you using any custom code? Are you printing out the content for the page using the_content()? Are you changing the loop and not resetting it properly?

Although I believe unrelated, your page has a javascript error which can have the potential to break remaining javascript from executing (eg hide/show TOC, and smooth scroll).

Thanks for catching that error and your’e right, it is unrelated to the issue at hand. I’ve since disabled that particular script for now.

I’m not making any particular changes to the_content() or any of the content loops that I’m aware of.

    Hi,
I’m not sure if it’s the right place to ask my question, please let me know if I need to post it in other place.

If I add the TOC to my site’s pages sidebar does that provide ‘Jump To’ links to my content? or I need to add it to the page body?

    Thnx
    Saab

    Try it ??

The plugin’s supposed to be as easy as possible, so no, you do not need to manually create your anchors within the page body.
