Hello and thank you for your work with this plugin.

Does the free or paid for plug-in now offer preservation of the internal hyperlinks / urls?

I really need my ebook to show the name of the buyer as watermark, bit I also need to keep the table.of content links as the PDF is very long.

If not, are you aware of any other product that can do this?

Do you have an ETA on when this might be available?

    Hi @iamhere

Thank you and you’re welcome. I am unaware of any open source plugin for WordPress that does that. We’re not allowed to talk paid plugins here on this forum, so you’ll have to research outside www.remarpro.com, but over at the Little Package website, it was discussed in the blog why that feature isn’t available and why it isn’t planned.

    Good luck on your hunt!

    Hi

Thanks for your reply – I can certainly understand better now and that is a great article on your blog.

I can see the issue lies with Setasign (https://www.setasign.com/products/setapdf-stamper/details/) – I’m sure you’ve been in touch with them to see if you can get a special license to be able to add their technology to your software? What reason do they give for not being helpful in this case?

Would it be helpful to get your customers to email them too, to put additional requests on them?

I notice the Setasign v2 software is now open source on Github – so one would assume it is now possible to grab that source code, modify it to suit your needs for this product? https://github.com/Setasign

    Hello again @iamhere,

Jan at Setasign is very helpful and kind and I have been in contact with him over the years. But he does not sell a license that would allow redistribution in a WordPress plugin. Pretty please review the software available and the licensing more carefully before suggesting to me what I can do. I’ve been writing and re-writing this plugin now for 7 years, so trust me, if it were possible to make Jan’s software available in a free plugin (at very high cost to me), or even a paid plugin (with limited reach), I’d have already done it.

Seta Stamper is not available on Git, and it’s what you’d need if you want to stamp PDFs without altering the source.

If you want to start building from scratch after buying one of Jan’s licenses, or purchase from my competitor who is violating Jan’s license, I welcome you to do that. One is the high road, but it’s gonna be a bumpy road unless you have a developer.
