• Hello,
I just installed Easy Table of Contents. Thank you for this nice plugin. Unfortunally it also picks up the headlines form Related Posts (Expand Divi). How can I stop this?
    Thank you.

@steven Thank you for your answer and the link to this forum, but: I can’t excluse all titles of articles. No. There must be an easier way, or not?

Table of Contents works great with Related Links by Extra.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The post titles you want to exclude are all Heading 4s.

If you are not using Heading 4s in your article, you could just ensure that only Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3 are checked in the Table of Contents Headings section of the editor. Then the Heading 4s won’t be added to your table.

This should exclude the related posts, but just for this one post. If you want to do the same for all of them, uncheck Heading 4 in Settings > Table of Contents.

    Hello,

    thank you for your advice.
    >uncheck Heading 4 in Settings > Table of Contents

That’s what I made first, but it doesn’t work.

There are global settings on under the WP Settings admin page you can disbable the H4 heaader tags there.

Now, on the actual page, when you edit it in the admin, you will find a section of settings related to the TOC. If you changed the H tag settings, that will override the global settings, make sure you have H4 disable in these section too.

    Hi,
thank you for your answer, but both options don’t work.

In WP Settings for TOC only H1 and H2 are activated. Same under the entry: Only h1 and h2 are activated.

    Nothing has changed.

If you are using any sort of page caching either by using a plugin or a feature provided by the web host, make sure you clear the cache after making the change.

lastly, check the settings for the related post and see if it has an option to use a div tag or something instead of the H4 tag to display the post title.

Sorry, not sure why they are not being excluded. I don’t have divi so I can not really debug.
