table.display_meta does not display item_meta values, only keys

Hi,
In the Admin Order details page, each order items has a table.display_meta after it, however the item’s meta is not displayed, only the meta keys. In the db, in woocommerce_order_itemmeta I do see these values, but they don’t get to the admin page.
I searched the code (version 3.0.9), however cannot figure out on my own what’s preventing the values to be shown.
Please advise where this can be checked or corrected?
