I’m using Elementor and the Element Pack TablePress widget with responsive set to collapse. The table is collapsing immediately when the window is sized down from its initial size on page load. It also does not scale up when the window size is increased from its initial size (first table on page).

I also tried adding the table as simple shortcode with responsive=collapsed (with the responsive extension installed) and that table is not collapsing at all (second table on page).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

This might be related to the vertical scrolling that you are using. Can you test with that turned off?

    Regards,
    Tobias

I stripped all the custom CSS and was still having issues. The theme we’re using has updated from using plain shortcode to integrating Elementor and I’m thinking this might be a conflict on their end. I get this error when loading a page with tables in Elementor: DataTables warning: table id=tablepress-9 – Cannot reinitialise DataTable. For more information about this error, please see https://datatables.net/tn/3

Older, plain shortcode pages that have not been editing using Elementor are displaying responsive tables as expected. I will take this up with the theme developers. Thanks for your time!

    Hi,

yes, that might be the cause then. This error in particular means that they are somehow loading the page footer twice, which causes the JavaScript code to run twice.

    Regards,
    Tobias
