• I can’t manage to change the background color of my table and what’s worse: I don’t know why. I’m even picking one the suggested colors and nothing happens. Any possible help? Thanks in advance.

Does that happen only in the editor or on the front-end after you publish a post?

Could you look in the browser tools (Inspect element, etc.) after you set the color and see if it was added as inline css. It is possible that the inline styles are being “overwritten” by your theme’s css. If that’s the case, you’ll need to either edit the css or contact the theme authors. If the inline css if not added, please look in the browser tools for js errors and post them here if any.

First of all, I need to learn what’s inline css and where to find it and correct it if it’s possible to do that without any help from the authors, which implies repaying an expensive license. I thought it was easier. As far for the rest, the table works fine for me. Thanks.

Uh, sorry. An HTML tag looks like this: <td>. The same tag with inline css will look like this: <td style="background-color: #ccc;">.

Try to add background color as usual, then right click the table cell and select “Inspect element” (or similar). The browser tools will open and you should see the “element” HTML, in this case the <td>.

The above is meant to determine if the problem is with the js in the editor, or with the css on the site or in the theme.

    Hi again,

After many readings, I guess there’s inline css and it also looks there’s nothing I can do. This is what I’m getting right now:

Hmm, where are you adding the background color from? Is it from the “Table” menu item, or do you select the images (seems there are only images in the table code you pasted) inside the table cell and then adding it?

If the background color is added from the “Table” menu for the cell, row, or the whole table, it seems to always work here. However if it is added for each image, like in the pasted code above, the color is “behind” the image so it is not visible.
