Tabbed Widgets picky with 2.8?

  • Since I upgraded to WordPress 2.8 this morning, the plugin’s been picky with some widgets. It seems to hate text widgets, the calendar, archive…

    It’s also hating the disqus widget, which is just a text widget with js in it.

    Any fix in the works?

  • By the way, according to a comment made on August, on his website, kaspars says he is pretty much done updating Tabbed Widgets for WP 2.8+, he just hasn’t updated the javascript code.

    If you can wait for kaspars to finish the plugin, then wait.

    If you can’t, I recommend Section Widget. There’s positives to using Section Widget such as conditional placement on your WP site (similar to Widget Logic, but more user-friendly) and the many, bundled tabbed themes.

    I’ll wait for the update. I prefer a vertical tab than horizontal.

    Hope this gets updated soon! I’ve been looking for something like it and it turns out this is exactly what I wanted. I tried out SidebarTabs, but don’t like the script it uses for the tabs.

    Any updates on this?

    I’m hoping for an update as well. I did research for a project back in may, tested the tab widget, got the client hooked on the implementation, and now that we are finally putting the project together, no widget. Darn it.

    I haven’t tried the SidebarTabs Beta yet myself. So I can’t say.

    I never tried Tabbed Widgets since it doesn’t work in 2.8.5

    I like the idea of this plugin but unfortunately it does not currently work with the latest version of wordpress (2.8.6) or with the theme I’m using.

    I’m using iBlogPro 3 Theme which gives you the ability to have a scrolling feature gallery on the front page and this plugin causes it to not work.

    If it wasn’t for that, great plugin. Wish I could use it.
