I’m using tablepress plugin for my niche sites. All were working fine, but recently I’ve noticed that when a user visits my site and lands on one of the pages where I have used tablepress to create a product list with only 5-7 products per page, it takes 30+ seconds to load.

Products are displayed fairly but it’s the tab bar is loading.

And at the same time, from the phone’s browser, the menu bar doesn’t work properly and the table doesn’t become responsive until the page is fully loaded (taking more than one minute) though I’m using the responsive table extension.

Could you please help me solve this problem?

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

TablePress should not have such an influence on the loading time…
Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

You can check the above links.

When I’ve replaced the tablepress plugin into nichetable, the problem is gone. You can check it here:

But I want to use tablepress because it’s more user friendly and I love it. Please fix this problem and allow me to use the tablepress plugin. Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for the links! Unfortunately, I can’t really see what’s going on here, or why this happens ?? My assumption is that the loading of the Amazon ads interferes with certain column widths calculations that are done with JavaScript.

Can you please try if this happens when you use the scroll instead of the collapse mode in the responsive Shortcode parameter?

I used the scroll instead of the collapse mode in the responsive Shortcode parameter but the results are the same. ??

Please, try to troubleshoot this. I don’t want to switch my table plugin. Thank in advance!

    Hi,

can you please leave the scroll mode active, so that I can check with that?
    On your links from above,

the collapse mode is active right now.

    Hi,

Here is the link where the scroll mode is active. You can check with that.

    https://amybabyreview.com/best-baby-swing-for-reflux/

But what I’ve noticed is that the post where I’m using tablepress plugin, doesn’t show the result when you try to check the page loading speed using gtmetrix. It says, Analyzing Error. The page took longer than 2 minutes to finish loading.

Here, is the ss link: https://prnt.sc/1qa9qd9

But when I use nichetable plugin on another post, gtmetrix is showing the result.

    Here, you can check: https://prnt.sc/1qa9vdh

So, it is pretty clear that tablepress plugin itself creating the problem. I think there is some bug or some other coding issue.

I hope you will fix it as soon as possible.

    Hi,

thanks for the new link! I don’t experience any issues, like slow loading, with that page on my computer…
For some further optimization, please uncheck the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen. As all individual features are turned off, it’s not necessary to load the JS file.
After that, TablePress really only adds the HTML code for the table on the page.

Nothing worked. I don’t know what to do. I’ve already wasted a lot of time. ??

    Hi,

I’m really sorry, but I can’t really reproduce the mentioned issues of the site being slow. Have you maybe tried with other browsers or computers? Maybe a browser add-on is interfering on your computer?
Given the high number of installations of TablePress and that I have not received any similar reports so far, I just can’t think of anything that TablePress does that would cause such problems.

    Regards,
    Tobias
