You can export entire albums on the export page (do one by noe), move the created .zip files from the ‘depot’ folder (…/wp-content/wppa-depot/your-username/) to your depot folder on the target site, and import them.

Unfortunately you will not move all album and photo metadata, because this procedure is out-dated and needs to be re-designed an re-implemented.

It is recommended to import the albums one by one, site by site. Make sure you cleanup the intermediate files at the import end after importing each album.

Although it can be a bit tricky, especially when there are many photos per album, but i should give it a try.

For copying the settings, make a settings backup file in Table VIII-A2. This generates settings.bak in your depot folder, move this to thr target site and load it in Table VII-A3: — restore backup —
Afterwards, check and correct if needed: Table IX-H3:Source directory

ok, thank you very much for the explanation, I will try. Should I export single albums or can I go for parent albums with subalbums?

Additional info:

Sub-albums are not included when you export an album; you have to export them all individually.

If you have albums on different sites with the same name, they will be merged.
You do not need to bother about album ids, it works with album names. I do not know if it is allowed to have spaces in the album name, just try it.

On the inport screen, first pass is extruding the zips. This gives photos and album definition files. Always first import the album definition files, in a next pass the photos.

If you are asked to select an album, select any, the photos will be imported to the original albums based on their names.

Hi, would it be possible and easier to merge my 4 single websites into 1 multisite? I found a tutorial for merging multiple single sites into one multisite using the built-in export and import option in wordpress. Would wppa work after that process? Could I opt for a global wppa or should I choose the individual wppa?
