More likely you’re using TinyMCE and it’s removing the blank lines. Switch to HTML view.

Must be another plugin you have activated then.

The plugin that tampers with yours is WP Minify.

Yep, that plugin will definitely remove blank lines. It needs to be smart enough to not do so inside of <pre> tags. ??
