    Hi,

I have the latest version of WordPress installed. I was able to log into wordpress yesterday and update pages no problem. I have not installed any new plugins or updated the core (already updated) and I am receiving the message below:

“SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

    Gateway Anti-Virus Alert

This request is blocked by the Firewall Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: C99Shell.F (Trojan) “

Can anyone point me in the direction of what may be causing this…is it bad code in WordPress or is this on our firewalls end. Possibly a restriction that needs to be turned off? I see other people having this issue but not getting an answer that makes sense.

    Thank you

    BD

This request is blocked by the Firewall Gateway Anti-Virus Service.

Have you discussed this with Gateway Anti-Virus Service?

Yes, we’ve figured this out as it’s a plugin that we have installed. My next question to you is could this firewall gateway be stopping you from viewing the media gallery content when you are trying to add a featured image? All it does is spin and spin. And that is for all of our sites across our server, so it’s not a plugin.

    Thoughts?

    Never mind, it was fixed.

    glad to know it ??

    Hi ussailing,

We’re experiencing the same issue – multiple WP accounts affected, media library not loading because of SonicWall firewall blocking content…

    Was this a false positive or is C99Shell F making a come-back?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    ??

Hi i’ve got nearly the same issue,
Have you got a solution to fix that Problem,
i think its a fault of the Provider?

    Can help someone?

    Best regards

    Hi Gegun,

I can confirm we’re seeing exactly the same alert from our SonicWalls now…

I’ve already submitted this as a False Positive to Dell SonicWall and we’ve temporarily unselected the option in our devices to filter content for this particular signature.

I’d recommend that you still get in touch with SonicWall to discuss your particular occurrence of this problem, just in case yours isn’t a False Positive.

    Hope this helps.

    Warmly,
    Trojan-Webmaster
