I have used the following code in a table cell to link to a page and pass data from another cell in the row

    book

this works fine but i want the cell B2 to be context dependent on the row this code is in… ie it should return contents of B2 if its in row 2… B3 if its in row 3 etc so presumably it should read something like …cell=B(ROW).. or similar does anyone know the correct variable name if its not ROW and the correct syntax many thanks

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, I’ll have to disappoint you here ?? There’s no function that returns the current row number in TablePress. The reason simply is that the formulas are evaluated outside of a table structure context, i.e. they don’t know which cell they are in.

The only way that I see is to hard-code those row numbers. Maybe you could use an Excel macro to quickly created the correct values and then import the table into TablePress?

    Regards,
    Tobias
