• So, I’m quite new to wordpress but tried anyhow to change the function.php in my twentyten theme. As I deleted some of the text to make the “poste at” and “by” go away and pressed update file, this message appeared on the screen:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENDIF in /home2/msfo/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyten/functions.php on line 481

I downloaded wordpress again and copy pasted the original function.php into my site but nothing happened.

Now I can’t see my site, and I can’t leave the Theme function (function.php) site, without the message appearing.

Please help! I’m so afraid I’ll have lost all the hard work I’ve put into this homepage.

I’ve now tried to login through FileZilla but it wont accept my password??

That you can’t login into FileZilla has probably nothing to do with your php error. Call your webhosting company about the error with your ftp and ask them to reset your password.

About the error in your website: you probably forgot to delete an ‘endif’ so that is why it is giving you the error. In the future, when you want to delete the post at and by items, remove them in your template, not in your functions.php. It is a lot safer.
