Syntax error (site down completely) when plugin is activated.

    For some reason, on a dev site (where everything is up to date) I can’t get the plugin to work and it breaks the site with this error when activated:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”Mailchimp/Folders.php” (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING) in /home/divinel1/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/yikes-inc-easy-mailchimp-extender/includes/MailChimp/Mailchimp.php on line 1

    I’ve tried running this plugin alone and downloading the latest version from both with no luck.

    What version of PHP is the server running? It sounds like an old version of php that might be causing the issue.
