Synology WordPress Package: Problem with external IP address

    During installation WordPress defaulted to my Synology DS 216j NAS’s internal address of 10.0.0.14.

    I want to access the blog externally and share with people. I have a static IP address for the NAS but when I update the WordPress settings to use it I get a ‘Page not found’ error. Port 80 is already open on my Netgear R6300 router and external access is working fine for Synology’s Photo Station app.

    I’d appreciate any assistance you can offer please

    I have solved it.

    My Netgear R6300 router was the issue. Whilst port 80 was already open in the UPnP table, I needed to write a specific port forwarding rule for a WordPress service to open Port 80 (internal and external) and direct it to the NAS.
