• I’m using “Extra” which is sister theme to Divi by Elegant Themes. It is sensitive to misplaced [].

The symptom I’m getting is that all shortcodes in the theme are being printed on the page rather than being rendered.

I don’t know if the syndication_feed_id causes a [] to be added somewhere in the output, but that is the type of behaviour that I’ve experienced from other misplaced [].

If I delete the custom field “syndication_feed_id” ( but leave all other custom fields) then my theme renders it’s shortcodes correctly and all is well.

  • Oh, wow. Thank you so much for reporting this! I was just going to switch my art promotion blog over to Extra and a child theme, Walden, but I’d better wait until this has been resolved.
