Keep in mind I’m relatively new to blogging software and syndication. I’ve begun a WordPress 1.5 blog at https://goodmorningcaptain.com and the links to the feeds so that one could syndicate it don’t seem to be working. As a test, I’ve tried using a variety of feed readers, but to no avail. Is there something I need to do to get them to work? I have done nothing in the way of any hacking of the files, they’re pretty much as-they-are since installation.

    Any thoughts?

You should go into your sidebar.php file and find the links to the feeds and remove the feed: from in front of them. That should make everything work.

I’ve tried entering the link sans the “feed:” prepend into feed readers and other syndication tools and I still don’t get anything, that’s my problem. Yet, if I got directly to the php file in a browser window, I see it just fine.

I guess what I need to know is, can anyone “see” my feed? Maybe someone else could try it. Cos I’ve yet to be able to get see it syndicate.
