• This plugin has some great features and does allow comments to be posted via the Facebook plugin on WordPress websites.

The problem I am experiencing, however, is that none of the comments posted are being synced to WordPress.

They do not show up in the “Recent Comments” list in the sidebar. Nor do they show up in the wp-admin/edit-comments.php review window.

Hoping that you will be able to resolve this issue, so that I can continue to use this great plugin.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Yes, I have the same problem.
Facebook comments system is working ok , but is not automatically syncing facebook comments with the wordpress comments (into database).

Maybe is has something to do with the FB Api 2.0 deprecation that has been activated this days.

    Hi BTDogan

I have done some more tests on your great plugin with the following results:

    1) Syncing of Comments to WordPress – it seems that comments are being synced into the WordPress data base automatically. However they do not appear in the wp-admin/edit-comments.php review window. If I go into “Comments” via the admin I cannot at first find the commments. However if I go the very bottom of the list (i.e. 5 years ago), I find the new comments there. i.e. below the comments synced into WordPress via SEO Facebook Comments. Why the comments synced via Facebook Comments Sync are not merged with all other comments I cannot understand.

    2) Listing of Comments in Recent Comments – here again I cannot find the latest comments synced via Facebook Comments Sync. However if I reverse the sorting with oldest comments at the top, then the comments synced via Facebook Comments Sync show up. This is not very convenient because I prefer to sort all comments in descending order.

Perhaps these observations will enable you to “debug” this great plugin. There are many advantages of this plugin and with a little “tweeking” it could be as good (if not better) than SEO Facebook Comments, which I used for several years.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.
