    Hi everyone,

I just came across this wonderful plugin and I’m asking myself if there is a way to sync the alt field too.

I know that it’s not a Metadata field but surely there is a way to use a metadata field as for the alt information.

Would this plugin allow to assign a meta field in LR to the alt field in WP?

    Regards,

    Edward

    Hi @technicalheadwear,

It depends which field you want ?? If you would like a field available in the EXIF, it’s no problem. You can do it by hand (with a bit of dev) or using another plugin called Enhanced Media Library.

If you would like to simply use the Title or Description from your LR in the Alt field, it works out of the box already.

That’s awesome, Jordy. The Alt is always the description for me. That makes it really easy ??

    Hi Jordy,

not directly plugin related. I’ve stumbled over something. LR transporter isn’t supported in Lightroom Classic 11.5 anymore.

What do you use to update Metafields in Lightroom as batch process. Does any of your plugins allow an update via excel, csv,…?

I personally do everything in Lightroom directly, I don’t do anything from the outside, I never had that kind of need. I think Lightroom is convenient enough to do everything I need to do in it.

And no, I never worked on a Lightroom plugin that does this. However, I am surprised LR Transporter doesn’t work anymore, I don’t think the API changed in Lightroom, so old version of LR Transporter should still work.

A pity that this editor doesn’t allow the facepalm emoji.
It still works it’s just under a different location than I expected.
The export is under <file> while the import is under <library>

Your plugin is awesome. I am so happy that I came across it.

I used the field <captionwriter> to sync my description to WP. Because my caption is a real caption with source information while the description is long SEO geared description of the image.

Now working on tagging all images and creating the same structure as in Lightroom.

    Thanks so much.

Ah yeah, Lightroom doesn’t make it easy to find the plugins now ?? I wish Adobe was listening to its users a bit, but they don’t really.

Your plugin is awesome. I am so happy that I came across it.

Thank you for saying that ?? Don’t hesitate to leave a little review, that always helps.

Enjoy the process! I love to make everything clean in Lightroom then sync everything to WordPress. I have been doing this for years and can’t live without it (and which is why I made it at the first place).
