Syncing stopped working on 3.6.0

Product syncing suddenly stopped working on pro 3.6.0 – I am hesitant to disconnect/reconnect my store, because then I might not have ANY product data available! And upgrading isn’t an option because my subscription lapsed. Renewing my license for another year seems sketchy when old versions just stop working one day… Why did this happen? How can I fix it? Just error 500, and says no products found.
