    I’m having issues with WC & Square when they sync. First off, we set up a location for the items we want to sell online and have that listed as the location in WooCommerce, yet when I do a sync from Square, it brings over all items. Also, when we sync, no descriptions come from Square into WooCommerce. Is there anyway I can get some help with this so it works properly?

    Hi Thom,

    Thank you for reaching out!

    By default changes like product description are not updated from Square to WooCommerce – only changes made on WooCommerce side are pushed to Square.

    In this case I’d recommend creating products on WooCommerce side complete with description, product IDs and SKUs, then add products with same IDs/SKUs on Square side and do the WooCommerce >> Square sync.

    @grigaswp, Is there anyway to import the descriptions into WooCommerce? We have hundreds of items with descriptions already in square and this would be a massive undertaking.

    Also, any thoughts on why it’s importing all of our items not just the ones from the location we’re telling it to?

    Hi there,

    After some further investigation I see that you can bring your descriptions from Square into WooCommerce, even though that option is disabled by default.
