Syncing contacts in mailchimp

What integration are you using exactly to sync the users to Mailchimp?

We are using Mailchimp addon provided by memberpress. It will update the value of the Membership-specific Merge Tags to active or inactive depending on the status of the member’s subscription to that Membership level. Since we are providing a membership to every new user, I’m assuming the new users will be synced along with the memberships. We are not using any other plugin.

I can only help with questions directly related to our plugin, Mailchimp for WordPress.

Are you using a plugin/addon that is Provided by Memberpress? Or are you using the Mailchimp for WordPress Memberpress integration?

The problem is the users aren’t syncing into the mailchimp anymore. We are using Mailchimp for wordpress which I’m assuming is responsible for syncing the users into mailchimp. We are not using anyother plugin for this functionality. Additionally we are using an addon provided by memberpress to sync the changes in membership levels. It is not an integration for MC4W and memberpress.

Also, I just wanted to mention that, we have used buddyboss user registration previously and we are not using it anymore. May be the problem arised when we removed the buddyboss registration completely. Not sure if this caused the issue. Please let me know.

The free version of our “MC4WP” plugin does not sync users. It can add users to MailChimp based on whether you have used our integration.

You will need to look into a way to integrate our plugin with the user registration method. Once this is done, users will be added to MailChimp while their account is created on your website.

Can you provide necessary resources to implement a custom functionality to integrate MC4WP with user registration ?

The above method is helpful with woocommerce registration. Is it possible to sync the users who are created from the Admin panel. i.e Dashboard > users > add new

Regarding the woocommerce integration, I enabled it and found that the users created from checkout are syncing into mailchimp. But the contact’s first and lastname fields are same as billing first and lastname’s field.

Actually we have changed the wooocommerce customer registration and added additional first and last name field for user registration. The customer’s first and last name could be different from billing name. So we don’t want billing details as first and lastname of the user. Do we have any settings for this or can we implement custom implementation ?

Our integration will not work for users created from the admin panel. If you are using our premium version, then you can use the “User Sync” feature to map the fields in WooCommerce with ones in your MailChimp Audience and this data will be synced in the background.
