Synchronizing two WP installations

  • Does anybody know a fast and easy way to synchronize two WP installations (files and database)?

    I want to mirror my official blog to my local machine (and vice versa).

    Maybe there’s a plugin for this task?

  • Dump the database online saving it to your local machine, then download the folder that wp lives in, set up a database on your home server, then use the sql query function to import the dump of the online database.

    No plugin far as I know, but the above takes me about 5 minutes as far as grabbing and importing the database – the folder download only needs doing once.

    Now, if you want this done every time you add or update a post or comment, that’s a whole other animal – no ideas about that one….
