• Hi again,

I’m starting a new topic as my previous one has been closed as resolved.

Still having an issue I’m afraid.

I’m using the new sync_should_sync_user function as described and it doesn’t sync WP-Members inactive users when I “synchronise all”, which is great.

However when the plugin is listening to changes it doesn’t seem to pick up a change in the “active” state from “1” to “0” or vice versa, which means that new WordPress user registrations don’t get added to the Mailchimp list when they’re activated, nor do users get unsubscribed when they are deactivated.
Deleting the user still unsubscribes them OK.

I’ve just updated your plugin to v1.1 but can’t see anything in the release notes to suggest that this will resolve the issue.

Is there anything can be done to get this working?

    Thanks.

    Hi Danny,

    Nearly there!

    De-activation unsubscribes OK. ??
    Re-activating a de-activated user resubscribes OK. ??

New users which have not yet been activated are subscribed ??
I’m pretty sure that the reason for this is that that the “active” meta_key is not actually created until they are activated.
So, what would I need to add to the ‘if’ statement to cater for this (check if the key exists) ?

Thanks for all your help so far.

    Hi again,

meglos42 pointed out on the previous question that it takes 15-20 minutes to sync with MailChimp list. But I’ve now waited about few hours and no sync has happened. What could be wrong? I’ve tried to check all of my settings and they should be alright. So what to do next?

So my problem still is that I’ve deleted some users from WP and now I want my users to be synced with the list at MailChimp so the sync should delete those users that I’ve deleted from the WP also from the MailChimp. Is this how it should work?

    Hi Jotak,

Probably best to re-open your “deleted users” topic and add to that as it’s more relevant than this one, which deals with wp-members compatibility.

(I found when I deleted users that they were not actually deleted from the mailchimp list but unsubscribed – make sure you have the latest versions of both mailchimp plugins)

    Hi Danny,
Can you assist with amending the code above to prevent new users without the “active” meta_key from being subscribed? Thanks.

    Hi,
Any chance of a response on this?
    Thanks
