I have a woo online store as well as 2 square brick and mortar stores. Woo is obviously linked to one of those BAM stores.

-Using woo as SOR I can’t manually sync it always fails, my server has plenty of resources.

-I am not sure of the cause but products from a square store (not the one linked to woo) has products randomly removed. I now have to do a complete stock take of every store twice a week to keep on top of it.

-Whenever I want to add new products to the system I have to add them in both square and woo with the same SKU for them to sync which obviously almost doubles the amount of time it takes.

Since the update to 2.0 this plugin has been an absolute disaster and has made business very difficult. I have followed instructions from the documentation and this support forum to no avail. This plugin is ridden with bugs and and if I don’t have my issues resolved ASAP I am moving to a new platform as it is now far beyond a joke.

    Hi @sheldzor,

I understand you’ve set WooCommerce as the System Of Record, and are trying to add new products in WooCommerce and have them copied over to one of your business locations. However, when you save the product, none of its details are copied over to Square, so you need to manually recreate the same product in your Square dashboard. Is everything correct so far, or did I misunderstand you at some point?

When SOR is set to WooCommerce, new and updated products should automatically sync their details over to Square. I just tested this on my site, and as soon as I enter an SKU on the product in WooCommerce, I’m seeing an option to sync it over to Square:

When I select this checkbox and save product details, it automatically appears on my Square account, without me having to add it manually:

You mentioned that the sync always fails on your site. Does this mean that you are seeing some error message in WP Admin or site logs? If that’s the case, you can follow the instructions on https://snipboard.io/ to capture and upload the screenshot. There should also be Square sync logs under WooCommerce > Status > Logs (filename starting with square). You could try uploading these to Dropbox and sending us a link. If there are any logs starting with fatal-errors, we’d like to see these too.

Please also send us the System Status Report, you can find it under WooCommerce > Status in WP Admin.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Regarding your other question:

    > -I am not sure of the cause but products from a square store (not the one linked to woo) has products randomly removed. I now have to do a complete stock take of every store twice a week to keep on top of it.

This sounds very suspicious, as our Square extension only communicates with the Business Location selected in plugin settings:

No other business location should ever be affected by any site operation. We don’t have any other reports of similar problems from other sites, so do you have some examples of products that were suddenly removed? Were they using the same name or SKU as products in your online shop that is synced with the other location? The more details you provide, the better we’ll be able to test this.

    Thank you!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’ll mark this thread as resolved now. If you have some more questions, feel free to start a new one.

    Cheers!
