Sync blog on live and dev sites

Hi guys,

I had a search through Google and this site but I couldn’t find anything matching my needs, so hopefully you guys can help me out.

I’ve got a live wordpress install, running as a website with a blog section. I’m about to develop a new home page, add a new shop page and install the plugins required for my new shop.

Up til now I’ve been syncing my live and dev sites with Duplicator, but if I take a snapshot of my live site now, I’m worried that the blogs will be out of sync before I upload the live site.

Is there a way to sync or export/import certain parts of the database between wordpress installs?
