    Hi – will Syncing a folder created a new copy in the media library. We uploaded via ftp, then we used a plugin to get them to land in media library, but they were not showing in Media Library Folders – although the Folders landed perfect on their own from FTP server. When we sync to get the contents of the folders to show up, are we creating duplicates. We seem to have duplicates but not sure where they are arriving from.! many thanks

    Sorry i should say will it create a new copy of the images in media library. thanks

    Are you images very large? WordPress will create a ‘scaled’ image if they are large? Or are you using a plugin to compress image size? Some of these plugin create new copies of an image.

    no they are not big, but resolved now, the plugin did not create copies as i first thought – it just gets them to show up in the folders, just coincidence that the first few images I looked at had random duplicates of but the rest did not. my error in not checking properly. Many Thanks
