Sydney Theme Home Page Sliding Text

Hello, I am a newbie and just at the beginning stages of setting my site up. I am using the Sydney theme. I want the slider text to populate on the very first image only and have the following images with no text. I can’t find info anywhere to see if this is possible? I also would like the space between the two lines of slider text and the “call to action” button minimized as I find the spacing too big. Is there a way to do either of these things relatively easily with this theme? My site is https://www.thisisbeazley.com but it is not live yet. Thanks for any information.
