• Hello,

I’ve had this problem for a while and keep thinking it’ll be fixed in the next update, but no luck. When I first built my website, I loved the look of adding an image to a row with an overlay and text/buttons on top. It had a great scrolling effect and looked very professional.

But for months, I’ve been having trouble with this feature on multiple pages. Most of the time, the image doesn’t move, so as you scroll down the webpage, all you see is an unsightly blank space at the top of the row under the overlay because the image is stuck in place and unresponsive. This is the case on my homepage.

On two of my other pages (https://onthecobblestoneroad.com/artist/ and https://onthecobblestoneroad.com/photographer), not only does the image in the row not load correctly, but the entire page also freezes and becomes glitchy when you scroll to the row that has the image behind it. I don’t have the freezing issue on my homepage–only these two, and only when the row with the image is on the screen. Scroll above or below it, and it’s fine.

I’ve tried uploading lower res images but haven’t had any luck resolving this issue, and I never had this kind of trouble when I first created these pages several years ago. Theme and plugins are all up to date. What other steps can I take to get my background images to align with the row and be responsive? Thank you.

  • Hi @snoe626,

I am sorry for belated response to this.

I checked several times, but didn’t get the issue.

Can you confirm whether your web browser version is the latest? Perhaps it is related with browser specific version.

    Regards,
    Kharis

Chrome is up to date, but it happens on every browser I try. It’s still doing it. The background image is basically stuck in place and doesn’t scroll, leaving a widening gap at the top of the row as the page moves up. I don’t know how else to describe it. Is there a way to share screenshots?
