switching WordPress site from http to https

A few days ago we asked our host to add an SSL certificate to our hosting account and to make our site https instead of http.
Here’s the site: justworldinternational.org
Our host ordered and installed the SSL certificate.
They did not move the site, since they said it “is already on a server capable of handling SSL certs with virtual hosts.”
They said, “you’ll want to have your web designer(s) change links as appropriate from http to https.”
I tried to do this by going to Settings/General and changing the settings for: 1) WordPress Address (URL) and, 2) Site Address (URL).
When I did, I got an error message. “This is disabled.”
What am I missing here?

I checked wp-config.php and nothing jumped out there.
