    Hey at all,
we are currently thinking about switching our theme/ doing a relaunch for a better customer experience.
Has someone done this before, are there any docs or how tos/best practice things?
The main problem we see, is the output of the jobs, because a new theme would handle the output in a diffrent way. We have some additional fields and the theme as well has some “own new fields”
Like Theme A has a layout with a list of jobs and single job is a sidebar layout left. Theme B has a grid layout for jobs and a fullwidth layout for single jobs.

    Hi @braehler,

Sorry if this is an obvious suggestion, but you definitely want a staging site!

The reason we suggest a staging site is because when we access your site, we will likely be deactivating plugins and switching themes. We prefer not to do that on a live site, for obvious reasons.

Many hosts provide a staging service, where you can do testing without affecting the live site. You can ask your host about this. If they don’t give you a staging site, you could try the WP Staging or Duplicator plugins:

    Best,

we always work with a staging site ??
We did a relaunch about 2.5 years ago, but we imported all of the listings from a typo3 based system and imported all the listings with wp all import.
