Switching the placement of primary and secondary navigation

I’ve managed to reverse the navigation placement on the landing page, now I’m trying to reverse the primary and secondary navigations on the following page… Any help would be appreciated… can’t seem to find where to do this.

The easiest way to do that is by using the https://woocommerce.com/products/storefront-powerpack/ extension for Storefront. Other than that, you’d need to change the order in which hooks are called although this requires a coding background.

@robertayala For a little more information on how to do this programmatically, the actions linked here can be removed, then added back to reorder items.

First, it’s a storefront child theme from another developer, and their template files might override the storefront template. I’m not finding the same info in three child theme.

Second, hypothetically, if I were to try and change the order of the hooks, do I have to change the numbers that are to the right of each hook?

@robertayala If the child theme does not have these actions, that means they are not overridden by the theme. You could add to the child theme, or use a plugin that allows code snippets to modify the hooks.

remove_action() and add_action() would need to be used together to remove the existing hook, then add it back where you want it. The number to the right is the priority, which specifies in which order the actions are called, so yes, that would need to be changed.

@jessepearson For some reason it’s just not working… I’ve tried both methods of switching, using the remove_action() and add_action().

Not sure if there is another file in the child theme that could override this, but the methods you mentioned above did not work.
