• I’m trying to switch to a new host, and I’m having a bit of trouble. I wanted to make sure that everything is peachy before I repoint my dns. I’m being assisted by the hosting’s tech guy, and he is stumped too.

I’m unable to download my database directly, so I used the backup in 2.0. We’ve got that uploaded. As well as a copy of my current wordpress files. We changed the config to point to the new db. All my links, my theme, and what not all show up. Except the posts don’t. The post area shows up as ‘404’

In the dashboard area, the tabs at the top are all linking to the old host, not the new temp one.

I’m guessing that is because the url is not set to the new host’s url. But I cannot do that. I cannot access the “options” tab on the new host by clicking on the tab. When I try to type in the correct url for it, I can get to it, but when I try to update it, I get the “enable sending referers” link. We can’t figure out what to do.

To get to the point: Here is what I am wondering. Is there a spot in the wrodpress files or the database that the url is configured? We can’t seems to find that anywhere.

    Any suggestions?
