Switching from Joomla to WP?

  • Hello WP community, we’ve recently started looking at switching from Joomla and Drupal to mainly WP for development purposes – for many different reasons. One of the biggest advantages we’ve wanted to gain is the time it takes to develop in WP, we’ve heard estimates of savings in the 15-30% range… more importantly we’re looking at switching because our friends at other SEO firms have repeatedly told us that making WP SEF is a joy in comparison to other CMS’s

    We’re just wondering if there is anyone in this community that can comment in on their experiences in switching from another CMS to WP, specifically from Joomla and Drupal.

  • I’m also looking to do that and I’d like to get some guidance on how to do it.
    My Joomla site ranks quite well in Google and Bing and I would like not to damage the ranking.
    The Joomla site is not big, it’s quite small but I would like to preserve the links…is there any good guide on how to do so?
