I realized after signing up for a .com paid account, what I really should have done is the .org/ self-hosted site. I had a registered domain through .com. I’ve followed the directions for transferring to a self-hosted page through bluehost. However, my blog isn’t loading. I’m not sure if I just need to wait another day or if I’ve done something wrong.

    Any help is appreciated

    Hey jillmanns20!

It looks like the site is loading through your host Bluehost. Now, there’s still a lot of default pages and copy on your page from your theme. But I see your two recent posts ??

Which specific part of your blog wasn’t loading correctly?

This could be a caching issue on your browser. Try clearing your cache and cookies on your browser and loading your website again. It’s there!

    Thank you,

    Drew

hey there @jillmanns20, it looks like you have to update a few URLs on the settings page in the WordPress Dashboard:

Hi. I see that your domain https://jillybeanreads.com/ is pointing to BlueHost and I see your site loading (USA). It can take up to 72 hours for a site to propagate globally.

Also, reach out to WordPress.com support if you have any questions about your purchase/refund.

Lastly, reach out to BlueHost about making sure that your site is using the main domain and not the temporary domain https://box5694.temp.domains/~jillybe9 that is currently showing up for all of your other pages.

thank you both. My theme isn’t loading and I’m only getting text.
If I wait, will this resolve? Or do I have to update the URLs to make it work?
And if I do change URLs, do I have to go back in and change once the domain name is resolved?
