Switching Customize Theme to Default WordPress theme

  • Is there someone who can confirm to me that it is safe to switch theme from a customize theme to WordPress default theme? Sorry I am really new on this. I am afraid I lost some of our post or comments. By the way. we are using a hosted site from our domain. How can we save our template so that if ever there will be a problem in switching, we can revert it back immediately?

    We have a bad experienced on this before that our site disappeared after we click the link Upgrade on the dashboard.

    As already stated in an earlier reply, your content (posts, comments, pages, etc) is safe in the database and not associated with the theme. You won’t lose anything by switching themes.

    Your theme customizations will remain intact within the template files of the previous theme, so you won’t lose those either.

    If you’re concerned, make a backup of your database and files.
