switching back to Mesmerize from a child theme

  • I want to set this site’s theme back to the actual Mesmerize theme, rather using the current Mesmerize CHILD theme (named tb-mesmerize), so that I can update the theme when necessary.

    I duplicated my child theme, re-named the duplicate to mesmerize and updated it to the latest version. When I made that the active theme, most, if not all, of the Appearance/Customize settings were gone. I switched back to the child theme for now.

    I had thought the Appearance/Customize settings would be stored in the database and would still be set in the Mesmerize theme, but it seems they may be stored somewhere else or something is different in the db structure…?

    My question: Is there a simple way for me to transfer the Custom settings from my child theme over to the updated Mesmerize theme? Mesmerize:1.6.81, child theme: 1.1.3.
